Making a decision is a part of our daily life. Every single day we make some sort of decisions. Research data provided by Columbia University says we make over 70 decisions every day. This may sound too much to you, but it’s true.
Those decisions include everything such as what to eat, what to wear, where to go, what to do, etc. Some decisions are easy to make, while some are way too difficult — such as buying a new phone, leaving your frustrating job without a backup plan, or what to gift someone, etc.
Now let’s discuss those decisions that are powerful enought to affect our whole life.

5 Decisions that Can Destroy Your Life
1. Making a Decision Based on Others’ Thoughts
We all face a time in our life when making a decision becomes too difficult for us. In that case, our inclination goes toward others’ thoughts. We want to know what others are thinking. It’s not bad to know the thinking of others. But making a decision based on others’ thoughts could be dangerous for your life.
If you made a decision of your life based on others’ thoughts and it went wrong, then you’ll spend the rest of your life cursing that person. So, don’t let others decide your future. Do it yourself. You may also be wrong, but at least you’ll learn from your mistakes and try again.
2. Deciding to Focus Only on Making Money
Most people want to make lots of money for their loved ones. So they can buy some happiness for them or provide them a luxurious life. But sometimes, the obsession of making money separate them from their loved ones, which is unfortunate.
The money won’t make you happy if you are not with your loved ones. So, make sure you take some time for them as well, rather than just making money.
3. Deciding Not to Express the Feelings
Some people think expressing the feeling and emotions could be dangerous, but I don’t think so. Expressing your feelings can help you connect others more strongly. Expressing the feelings might help you to make the bond of a relationship even stronger.
I’ve seen people regretting not for expressing their feelings to someone. I hope you’ll understand what I’m trying to say and I hope won’t make the same mistake.
4. Deciding to Give More Importance to the Work
I understand that work is important for a living. But, is it more important than friends and family? The answer is no. Work can be important for friends and family, but work can never be more important than them. So, if you are one of those who give more importance to your work, keep this in mind that you are making a serious mistake.

Work, money, and fame are just for existence. It’s love, friends, and family who make you feel alive.
5. Deciding to Make Everyone Happy
Rather than deciding to make everyone happy, try to keep yourself happy. I understand it, as a responsible person, you care more about others than yourself and try to make them happy. But tell me one thing, how can you make others happy if you are not happy?
If you want to be happy, just be happy. Being happy is a choice, not an achievement. Making everyone happy may make you unhappy. No, it’s not about being selfish; it’s about self-caring.
I want you to understand what I’m trying to say. I don’t want to make you understand what I’m trying to say.
